GhumGham Account Deletion

GhumGham users can delete their account from inside the Android app and request deletion of associated account data by email. If you cannot access the app, you can also use the email option to request account and associated data deletion.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open the GhumGham app.
2. Sign in to the account you want to delete.
3. Go to Settings or Profile.
4. Choose Delete account.
5. Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.

Request associated data deletion

Email [email protected] with the subject Delete my GhumGham account.

Send the request from the email address linked to your GhumGham account when possible. This helps verify that the request is associated with the correct account. You can use this email option if you cannot access the app or if you want to request deletion of account-associated server data such as likes and comments.

Data deleted

In-app account deletion removes:

• Firebase Authentication account access.
• Account profile details such as email address, first name, last name, nickname, profile role, profile timestamps, and optional profile photo URL.

After a verified associated-data deletion request, GhumGham also deletes or anonymizes account-associated server data where reasonably possible, including:

• Experience likes linked to the account.
• Comments linked to the account, subject to moderation, safety, legal, and abuse-prevention needs.

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained for a limited period where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service reliability, or backup recovery. This can include diagnostics, crash logs, moderation records, rate-limit records, backend request metadata, and records needed to prevent misuse.

Local saved places and trip plans are stored on the user's device. Users can remove them in the app or uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device. Android system backups may be managed through the user's device or Google account backup settings.

Timing

In-app account deletion starts immediately after the user confirms the action. Email requests for associated data deletion are reviewed as soon as reasonably possible, and deletion is normally completed within 30 days after the request can be verified.
